The Office of Public Affairs and International Linkages is pleased to invite you to participate in our global virtual exchange initiative, VirMob (Virtual Mobility) 2026.
About the Program
Under the theme “PILIPINAS: Perlas ng Silangan” (Pearl of the Orient), this program aims to connect students and professionals worldwide through engaging and culturally immersive online experiences. Participants will explore the Philippines’ rich heritage, diverse traditions, and natural wonders while fostering international academic collaboration and intercultural understanding.
Program Details
Dates: April 27 – May 08, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Philippine Standard Time)
Format: Interactive virtual sessions culminating in a Virtual Project and Exhibition
Program Highlights
Participants will explore various aspects of Philippine culture and society, including:
Culture & Identity
• Filipino values, indigenous traditions, languages, and the Bayanihan spirit
Arts & Creative Industries
• Traditional and contemporary dance, music (from Kulintang to modern pop), cinema, and architecture
Tourism & Lifestyle
• Filipino cuisine and street food, biodiversity, and the country's renowned hospitality
Eligibility
The program is open to:
• Non-Filipino undergraduate and graduate students
• International lecturers, professors, and non-academic staff from Higher Education Institutions
Note: International students currently studying in the Philippines are not eligible to participate.
Participant Benefits
Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Gain global exposure through international collaboration
• Engage in meaningful intercultural exchange
• Receive an official Certificate of Participation
Program Fee
Participation is FREE for up to five (5) nominees per university. Additional nominations may be accommodated subject to further agreement.
Application Requirements
Interested applicants must submit the following:
• Completed Online Registration Form
• Scanned copy of Passport or National ID
• Scanned Student or Staff ID
• Formal photograph (without glasses)
