
This course focuses on the rationale for learning Islamic economics and its importance in the era of development and global economy . Epistemology, methodology and the characteristics of Islamic economics are presented by comparing them to conventional economics. The further discussion focused on the Islamic economic subsystem covering labor and wages, production and business, consumption, financial and financing systems, Islamic capital markets as well as public Islamic financing such as zakat and waqf.
