The course aims to familiarize the students with the concepts and applications of various mathematical and statistical tools and econometric methods used in analysing data and economic relationships. The topics include normal probability distribution, confidence interval estimation, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance as well as econometric methodology from simple linear regression to multiple regression analysis as well as autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity and specification errors, time series analysis and panel data analysis.
