Kursus ini menumpukan kepada rasional pembelajaran ekonomi Islam dan kepentingannya dalam era perkembangan dan kemajuan ekonomi global. Epistemologi, metodologi dan ciri-ciri ekonomi Islam disampaikan dengan cara membandingkannya dengan ekonomi konvensional. Perbincangan seterusnya ditumpukan kepada subsistem ekonomi Islam yang meliputi buruh dan upah, pengeluaran dan perniagaan, penggunaan, sistem kewangan dan pembiayaan, pasaran modal Islam serta pembiayaan awam dalam Islam seperti zakat dan wakaf.
This course focuses on the rationale for learning Islamic economics and its importance in the era of the development and global economy. Epistemology, methodology and characteristics of Islamic economics are presented by comparing them to conventional economics. The further discussion is focused on the Islamic economic subsystem covering labor and wages, production and business, consumption, financial and financing systems, Islamic capital markets as well as public Islamic financing such as zakat and waqf.
